Hi, my name is Jayden.
I got into photography when an old friend sold me a film camera. I started off by taking photos of friends and the things we did. That was a lot of fun. Later on, though, after I had just arrived in Thailand in October 2023, a new friend showed me his portraits of Vietnamese locals he took on the famous Ha Giang loop. This was my first exposure to street photography, and I realized that a stranger’s smile really captures the beauty of travel—the randomness, authenticity, and beauty of it all. That night, I took a tuk tuk to Chinatown in Bangkok and started taking photos with the sound of car horns and simmering food all around me.
These are the first street photos I ever took that night:

The thrill I felt from snapping these photos set me on a path that changed my life. Now only a few years later, photography has become a central part of my life. From capturing an individual’s style and smile to their expression and body language, street photography is a beautiful way to capture that person in time. Not only that, but the incredible conversations I’ve shared with people from simply asking for a photo will always stay with me.
Everyone has a story to tell.
Thanks for stopping by. I’m currently based in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.
